Construction Photos

After several weeks of construction, you can see that we've completed the painting, the slatwall and the new carpet. We've also networked the office for the computer system, wired it for sound for the stereo system, and many other small tasks. You can see from this photo that we have a little more work to do, including replacing a light fixture and all of the lighting screens and replacing two speaker mounts in the corners. That bulge behind the window is a suit of armor! Stop by and see how it looks from the outside.

Welcome to Chaos! Most of the fixtures have arrived, along with about half the stock. Now begins the tedious task of inputting every item into the point-of-sale system. 20% of the inventory is arriving each day this week, but it takes about 2 days to process one days shipment. Will we open on time?

The miniature section is coming along! Titania spent two days laying it out, along with four days of data entry on my party. We may have to focus on a corner of the store for our upcoming video shoot for our commercial, although we hope to have it all done by the 1st of November.

It turns out my original store layout is about 11" short of meeting ADA standards (36" between rows). So we're now moving our new racks to the back wall.

The front of the store is filled with all the items that have been checked in. There's another day of processing new stuff before we start laying it out on the shelves!

Before Photos

Taken while the previous tenants were moving out. Notice the interior dividing wall that we had to remove.

There are a surprisingly large number of game stores located next to nail salons. Synergy?
